    Group Thunder Buddy
Member 1 (presenter): Brendan Koning. He will be outlining the simple concepts that the other group members will be presenting. He will also be fielding questions about the subject and summarizing the break down of the concervaitve, neutral, and liberal viewpoint of the Citizens United vs. FEC case.
Member 2 (Liberal article): Lindsay D’Amour

The Hidden Dangers of the 2012 Republican Party and Citizens United

Taking the “left side” or more Democratic viewpoint, I will be analyzing this article created by a “community-driven” news outlet, All Voices. In the article above, I will be looking at specific loaded adjectives that imply that Citizens United is “the worst thing that has ever happened to Democracy”. I will also address their mud-slinging comments and interviews about Republicans.

Member 3 (Conservative article): Amanda Moore
Some of the most important principals that our country has to offer was founded is freedom of speech, religion, assembly, and press. The U.S. Supreme Court decision of Citizens United vs. FEC held up one of the most valuable assests our country has to offer – freedom of speech

Member 4 (Neutral article): Kaite Meador
    Neutral View Point
    Katie Meador
    Group: Thunder Buddies
Justices, 5-4, Reject Corporate Spending Limit

I Katie Meador am the 4th member in our group and have chose to give the neutral view point towards the Citizens United vs The Federal Election Commission. This article that I have broken down is a good example of a neutral article. It states many facts pertaining to the FEC and the Citizens United and the laws that have been passed, when, and how the laws pertain to the Citizens United case. The author of this article did a very good job staying neutral and giving both sides by mentioning the laws, the facts, and the opinions of the case.

Group member work: Each of the individuals that are breaking down articles located them today and proceeded to create a summery and talking points for the presentation. We each brain stormed for the main idea. Brendan is taking care of the powerpoint. We have scheduled to meet Sunday evening to continue work on our project.
